Beijing Haidian District Releases "Measures to Promote the High-Quality Development of the Premium Mini Series Industry"
 

Recently, the Publicity Department of the CPC Haidian District Committee, together with seven departments including the Zhongguancun Science Park Administrative Committee, issued three new policies: "Measures to Support the Development of 'Artificial Intelligence + Culture' in Haidian District," "Measures to Promote the High-Quality Development of the Gaming and Esports Industry in Haidian District," and "Measures to Promote the High-Quality Development of the Premium Mini Series Industry in Haidian District." 

The new policies outline an "AI + Culture" co-creation initiative, encouraging the development of specialized large models for cultural subfields, the establishment of shared technology platforms, and the building of high-quality datasets. Enterprises are encouraged to lead in innovation consortia to drive innovative applications, with incentives of up to 30 million yuan. In the subfields of gaming, esports, and mini series, the policies promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence with game development and operations, support the establishment of key laboratories for core technology research, encourage the use of AI technology in the planning, creation, and filming of mini series, and support the construction of technological innovation laboratories, with rewards of up to 10 million yuan.

On November 18, the 12-episode mini series Wa Shi Fu Ren: Sha Wo Ling (Madame Wa: Decree to Defend Against Invaders) achieved impressive viewership and received high praise upon its release on the Hongguo Short Drama platform. Wa Shi Fu Ren: Sha Wo Ling boldly focuses on the real historical heroine, Madame Wa, who fought against coastal invasions during the Ming Dynasty. This subject matter inherently carries strong historical depth and national identity, refreshing audiences' stereotypes of mini series as featuring "exaggerated plots, stereotypical characters, and simple sets." 

Another major breakthrough of the series lies in its successful portrayal of the three-dimensional ensemble of heroines. Through the "dual-female leads" setup of Madame Wa and her granddaughter Cen Lang, the series constructs a growth spectrum of women across different ages and life experiences, profoundly interpreting the theme that "protecting homes and defending the nation knows no gender," injecting a strong modern female perspective into the ancient historical narrative.

Recently, the AI animated mini series Tao Xian Zi De Chuan Shuo (The Legend of the Peach Fairy) was broadcast, marking Dezhou's debut in AI animated mini series. The series was simultaneously launched on multiple new media platforms, including the Lingcheng Converged Media WeChat Video Channel and Douyin. Based on the historical and cultural resources of Lingcheng District, the series centers around the legendary figure Dongfang Shuo. Using AIGC technology, the story is reimagined to offer a fresh audiovisual experience to the audience. The series focuses on key plots such as "The Birth of the Sage Dongfang Shuo" and "Praying to the Dragon King for Rain in Yanci," while preserving the humanistic essence of classic scenes from the original legend like "The Golden Dragon Rescues the Orphaned Girl." At the same time, it integrates distinctive local elements such as the "May Fresh" honey peach, achieving a seamless blend of mythical legends and regional culture.

Recently, the quality mini series Yun Meng Tian Xiang (A Misty Dream in Fragrance) officially started filming at Hengdian World Studios. Pioneering a new genre of ancient-costume dramas centered on "intangible cultural heritage business warfare," the series creatively integrates intangible cultural heritage elements, such as Hangzhou embroidery and incense-making craftsmanship, with the complexities of the commercial world into its storytelling. Through strong plot development based on solving crises, it demonstrates the legendary journey of commercial civilization and female self-awakening in Southern Song Dynasty.

In the series, Gu Tianxiang (played by Li Yutong) steps up to the challenge amid a family crisis and joins forces with Lu Yun (played by Sun Shuaidong), the leading disciple of Tianxi Sect. By leveraging expertise in incense-making and innovative embroidery techniques, they reshape business practices and rise through escalating challenges, including business competition, royal consort selection, and incense-based schemes, presenting a gripping battle of wisdom and courage in the world of intangible cultural heritage.

Recently, the intangible cultural heritage-themed mini series Fei Yi Bian Lian Zhen Quan Qiu (Face Changing: A Cultural Heritage that Shocks the World) started filming in Qingyang District, Chengdu. It is the first vertical-screen mini series in China that has officially received an official filing number featuring the theme of Face Changing in Sichuan Opera.
 
Fei Yi Bian Lian Zhen Quan Qiu combines the artistic essence of Face Changing skills in Sichuan Opera with modern storytelling. It not only faithfully restores the detailed process of passing down the face changing technique, but also naturally integrates the spiritual value of intangible cultural heritage into the narrative. Renowned performing artist Wang Deshun, who is nearly 90 years old, makes a special guest appearance. In addition, actors Wen Jiang and Dong Chunhui also make their first appearance in the mini series, taking on key roles in the series.

On November 18, in Jiangdong Village of Hezhuang sub district, located along the Qiantang River in Hangzhou, the China Mini Series Creative Village, which opened only eight days ago, hosted its first filming project: the mini series Chao Xi Lian Qu (Tidal Love Song).

The mini series is co-produced by the Publicity Department of the CPC Qiantang District Committee and Communication University of Zhejiang. It takes reclamation culture as its main narrative theme and emotional connection. The series tells how young people undergo spiritual growth and devote themselves to starting businesses through interactions with elderly residents who once participated in land reclamation.

With Qiantang District's support system of "one policy, one association, two centers, and one creative village," the local mini series industry here benefits from full-chain service support, from content review to intellectual property protection. District-level special support policies, along with the Coordinated Review Sub-center and the Copyright Protection Service Center, provide creators with a secure and worry-free environment for production.
