In 2025, Nanchang entered a breakout year for mini series, with a succession of notable releases. In March, Yu Zhang Jiu Meng (Yuzhang Former Dreams) showcased an innovative "XR + mini series + cultural tourism" model, bringing the thousand-year-old story of Wang Bo and the Tengwang Pavilion onto mobile screens, and drawing attention to the ancient charm of Nanchang. In August, the infinite-loop time-travel web drama Hai Hun Xing (Voyage to Haihun) released its first season, featuring on-site filming at the National Archaeological Site Park of Nanchang Han Dynasty Haihun Marquis. The second season of Hai Hun Xing, released in September, brought another surge in visitor numbers to the Nanchang Relic Museum for Haihun Principality of Han Dynasty.

On June 18 this year, the Ganjiang New Area Mini Series Industry Base officially opened, attracting numerous mini series companies. The rapid growth of Nanchang's mini series industry is closely linked to a series of supplied and supportive policies. In April, Jiangxi Province issued the Measures on Promoting the High-Quality Development of the Mini Series Industry in Jiangxi. The ten measures target key areas of mini series development, including filming bases, approval efficiency, financial support, copyright protection, and talent development, providing precise and effective support to industry stakeholders.

As one of China's three major hubs for mini series in China, Zhengzhou is home to more than 800 mini series production companies and nearly 40,000 industry professionals, with its market size reaching 2.3 billion yuan in 2024. Known as a "Vertical Dian," the city is leveraging policies as guidance, industry as its foundation, and culture as its core to promote the deep integration of mini series and cultural tourism, turning online traffic into tangible offline visits.

Since 2024, several Henan-produced mini series featuring local cultural elements, such as You Jian Luan Niao Qi Wu Shi (See Luan Niao Dancing Again) and Luo Hua Ruo You Yi (Luo Hua), have been selected as key recommended works for the National Radio and Television Administration's "Travel with Mini Series" creation plan. These works ignite a deep interest in Henan's history and culture while keeping viewers engaged in the series.

At the same time, the city's wealth of cultural tourism resources provides rich materials for mini series creation. Zhengzhou has opened more than one hundred outdoor locations, including areas in the CBD, offering a "scene list" that crews can access for immediate deployment. Cultural landmarks such as the Shang Dynasty City Ruins, Mount Songshan, and the Shaolin Temple have also become natural filming locations.
