The first season of the Dai-language mini series Zhu Lou Li De CEO (The CEO in the Bamboo House) (8 episodes), produced by the Xishuangbanna Media Center, premiered on October 13 via the center's official WeChat account "Xishuangbanna Minority Languages." To date, four episodes have been released, garnering over 20,000 views.

The series  centers on cross-border cultural and tourism cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, pioneering the genre of "borderland light comedy" in China. Its uniqueness lies not only in the refreshing mix of Dai-language dialogue and cross-border culture, but also in the integration of the "college students returning home to start businesses" theme into the context of local life in bamboo houses.

Rather than portraying city elites moving to the countryside, the story highlights how young people leverage online livestreaming and business planning ideas to adapt modern ideas to local practice, demonstrating how contemporary knowledge can benefit traditional villages. Additionally, while showcasing the beauty of tropical rainforests and intangible cultural heritage, the mini series also strengthens the theme of cultural exchange along the Belt and Road.

On October 29, the Parallel Forum on Mini Series during the 2025 China Conference on High-Quality Radio and Television Production was held in Beijing. At the event, the Proposal on Lawful Tax Payment in the Mini Series Industry and the fourth batch of recommended titles under the "Learn the Law with Mini Series" creation plan were released.

The proposal aligns with the characteristics of the mini series industry with financial and tax supervision requirements, outlining compliance directions across four main aspects: First, it clarifies the tax responsibilities for industry practitioners. It strictly forbids individuals from using "after-tax payment" or "after-tax revenue sharing" to shift tax obligations, and companies are required to fulfill their legal duty of withholding and remitting taxes. Second, it strengthens company invoice and fund management, ensuring that all business activities are genuine, and opposes concealing income through "dual contracts" or "private account transactions." Third, it encourages companies to build systematic compliance capabilities, establish internal tax review mechanisms, and make tax compliance a prerequisite for cooperation, while rejecting illegal behaviors such as tax evasion that lead to unfair competition. Fourth, it calls for the whole industry to participate in joint governance. Practitioners are urged to stay updated on new policies, cooperate with regulatory authorities, identify and rectify risks in time, and enhance training and experience-sharing on lawful taxation and compliance.

In recent years, Qingdao has viewed the mini series industry as a key breakthrough in developing new quality productive forces in the cultural and tourism sector. The city has made continuous efforts to improve policies, support enterprises, attract projects, create quality works, and optimize services.

Qingdao has taken the lead in establishing a city-level task force to promote the mini series industry, and has set up a Mini Series Industry Service Center. It was the first in the Shandong province to establish two mini series review stations and launched a "Four-in-One" fast review channel, which has already reviewed 35 productions.

The city has introduced policies like the Policy List for Supporting the Development of the Online Mini Series Industry, and plans to allocate the first round of funding, amounting to 1 million yuan, to six selected projects. From January to September, Qingdao added 102 new radio and television production companies, bringing the total to 905—accounting for one-third of the province's total. The total investment in the city's mini series projects has now reached 310 million yuan.
