On October 28, the cultural tourism mini series Xin Dong Shi Ba Pai held its inaugural filming ceremony in Ordos, Inner Mongolia. The series is produced by Inner Mongolia Radio and Television Station, co-created with the Ordos Ulanmuqi Art Troupe, and jointly filmed by Inner Mongolia Yunfan All-Media Technology Co., Ltd.

Xin Dong Shi Ba Pai is a contemporary reinterpretation and continuation of the classic dance drama Hu Jia Shi Ba Pai (Eighteen Songs of a Nomad Flute). Through a cinematic lens, it injects new vitality into the original stage production. By adopting a "past-and-present" narrative approach, the drama connects the cultural heritage of the northern grasslands with a modern story of pursuing dreams, presenting the audience with a high-quality cultural tourism mini series that blends historical depth with the unique charm of the grasslands.

The dance drama Hu Jia Shi Ba Pai vividly portrays the legendary life of Cai Wenji, a gifted woman from the Eastern Han Dynasty, who fled to the Xiongnu territories during wartime and later returned to the Han, preserving the cultural lineage through her writings. As a symbol of Ordo's rich cultural heritage, the work not only highlights the cultural depth of the region, but also introduces the story of "Cai Wenji and Hu Jia Shi Ba Pai" to a wider audience.

In recent years, mini series have sparked a global cultural wave with their fast pace and powerful storytelling. This new art form has quickly captured the attention and enthusiasm of China's younger generation, while also gaining unexpected popularity in Western markets, becoming a cultural phenomenon that cannot be ignored.

How can a mini series take root and evoke emotional resonance in a completely different cultural environment? According to Ren Shuo, Project Director of Maiya Media, the rise of mini series lies in their ability to precisely capture modern viewers' fragmented time and desire for instant emotional payoff. For young Chinese people who actively embrace the digital era, the mini series industry offers not only wide creative and career opportunities, but also a new platform to realize personal value, showcase innovative talent, and share Chinese culture with the world.
