Maxim Antonyan: Diversified Monetization Models Drive Commercial Success of Mini Series

Maxim Antonyan, Director of Program Distribution at Russia's Media Technologies company, stated that mini series are emerging as a new opportunity in the global content market, with the potential to develop into a globally popular content format. He pointed out that the key to the globalization of mini series lies in "high-quality adaptations" to cater to the distinct characteristics of different regions and the diverse needs of audiences. In terms of commercial strategy, Antonyan advocates a phased combination approach: during the early stages of overseas expansion, when subscriber bases have not yet been established, the AVOD (Advertising-Based Video on Demand) model should be used to accumulate users; once the content has been validated successfully, it can then be upgraded to a subscription model to maximize commercial value, thus facilitating the promotion and implementation of new mini series and stories in overseas markets.
