Xiying's High-Quality Mini Series Yi Chan Ji Cheng Zhe (The Heir of Legacy) Released

On October 17, Yi Chan Ji Cheng Zhe (The Heir of Legacy), a selected work of the seventh batch of recommended titles of the National Radio and Television Administration's "Travel with Mini Series" creation program, premiered on Hongguo Short Drama, Douyin, and Xiying Video. Co-produced by Xiying Video, Huashang Film, and Xi'an Eurasia University, the series utilizes the "mini series+" format to vividly showcase the unique natural landscapes, cultural customs, and rich heritage of northern Shaanxi. It highlights the distinctive charm of intangible cultural heritage while emphasizing the spirit of the times.

Starring veteran actor Guan Yajun and new-generation actor Zhang Yayang, Yi Chan Ji Cheng Zhe is set against the rustic backdrop of northern Shaanxi's rural landscapes. The story follows Qin Jiagen (played by Guan Yajun), a traditional storyteller, and his nephew Li Xiaobao (played by Zhang Yayang), who embark on a journey to find relatives, following clues to a mysterious "inheritance" left by Li's grandfather. Through laughter and tears, the uncle and nephew grow together, rediscovering their passion for life.

Red-Themed Cultural Tourism Mini Series Begins Filming in Luotian, Huanggang 

On October 16, the youth inspirational red-themed cultural tourism mini series Ni Guang Er Lai De Ni (You Came Against the Light), meticulously produced by the Changjiang Audio-Visual Base, officially begins filming at the Shili Muge Agricultural and Tourism Zone in Luotian County, Huanggang, Hubei. 

The series tells the story of Yu Sheng, a revolutionary soldier who sacrificed his life in 1940 to protect a vital military map of the Dabie Mountains. Reborn in 2025, he finds himself returning to the modern world. With his wisdom and determination, he overcomes many challenges and leads his hometown to achieve rural revitalization and technological progress.

Having completed its early preparation, the series will soon enter intensive shooting. It is expected to be released on major platforms such as Hongguo Short Drama, Tencent Video, Youku, and iQIYI. With its unique theme and high-quality production, the series is projected to reach one hundred million views online and become a landmark example of uplifting, positive-energy storytelling.

Mini Series Wu Xiang Li Bo (My Hometown Libo) Begins Filming in Libo

On October 16, the inaugural filming ceremony for the cultural tourism mini series Wu Xiang Libo (My Hometown Libo) was held at "Shan Feng's Study" in the ancient Yaoshan village of Libo, Guizhou. As a writer and director deeply engaged in Guizhou's cultural creation, Shan Feng has integrated twenty years of creative experience from his novel Cong Gui Zhou Dao Luo Wa Nie Mi (From Guizhou to Rovaniemi) into this series.

In an interview, Shan Feng said that Wu Xiang Li Bo is not only an artistic creation, but also a heartfelt journey to rediscover his cultural roots. "This series is my love letter for Guizhou's landscapes and people. We want to not only show the visual beauty of Libo, but also reveal the spirit of this land through its intangible cultural heritage elements like Shui script, horsetail embroidery, and Yao medical baths."

The series is filmed in horizontal format with cinematic production standards, demonstrating Libo's lush mountains and flowing rivers as if unfolding a living scroll of art.

Recently, the Zhuozhou Micro-short Drama Industry Base and the Mini Series Creative Production Base was established in Baoding, Hebei. Among them, the Zhuozhou Micro-short Drama Industry Base relying on Zhuozhou's rich historical and cultural resources and the CCTV Zhuozhou Cultural Industry Complex Project under construction, it aims to build a comprehensive full-chain mini series industry base.

Located only 2.6 kilometers from Zhuozhou East High-Speed Railway Station, and less than 30 minutes by train from Zhuozhou East to Beijing West Station, the base offers covenient access for creators. Inside a state-of-art office building, 25 film and television companies have already settled in, with about 70% of them coming from Beijing. Here, they are riding the wave of the times, striving to produce more compelling and high-quality mini series that capture today's fast-paced storytelling era.  

Shaanxi Xixian New Area Develops Mini Series Industry Cluster

In recent years, Xixian New Area has fully committed to building a mini series industry cluster. This effort includes expanding filming bases, creating mini series parks, optimizing the business environment, and enhancing talent training. Currently, the area has five designated mini series filming bases, including Dream Workshop and Shili Fenghe, providing 80,000 square meters of indoor filming space and over 500 themed shooting locations. The outdoor filming area spans more than 6,000 mu (about 990 acres), drawing approximately 30% of the nation's mini series production teams and contributing to the filming of over 1,000 mini series.

Simultaneously, Xixian New Area has attracted more than 50 mini series and related supporting enterprises, including 10 large-scale mini series companies. Productions such as Lao Kui You Le Xin Zhu Ren (The Old Helmet Has a New Owner) and Yi Ai Wei Qi (Love as a Bond) have been selected for the National Radio and Television Administration's "Travel with Mini Series" creation plan. Meanwhile, Ren Huo Yi Kou Qi (Living with Dignity) won the "Outstanding Mini Series" award in Shaanxi Province. 

To date, the area has produced over 30 hit mini series, each with box office revenues exceeding 10 million yuan, collectively surpassing 1 billion online views, and becoming both a critically acclaimed and commercially successful phenomenon. Xiao Zhen Cha Xiang Lian Xi Zuo (Love and Tea in a Small Town) has also been included in the 2025 provincial and municipal major cultural projects support list.

Turning a "Micro" Narrative into a "Major" Industry: An Account of Quwo County's High-Quality Development in Mini Series

Since last year, Quwo County, Linfen City in Shanxi Province has embraced the strategic initiative of building a "Mini Series City," as outlined by the Linfen municipal party committee and government. The county has strategically incorporated the mini series industry into its cultural industry development plan and digital economy priorities, actively promoting the production of high-quality mini series, the construction of mini series filming bases, and the creation of a mini series ecosystem. As a result, the mini series industry in Quwo county is now exhibiting a thriving momentum.Currently, Quwo County has built a 300-mu (around 50-acre) real-world filming base featuring settings from the Spring and Autumn Period and Jin State and is accelerating the construction of the "Quwo Mini Series Industrial Base," which integrates creation, filming, and production. The county is simultaneously establishing a filming scene database and a "costume, makeup, and prop resource joint platform," steadily improving the entire mini series industry chain. A number of high-quality works, such as Jin Gong De Jun Tuan and Zhuo Ying Mi Fu, are set to debut impressively.
