Mini Series Marking the 620th Anniversary of Zheng He's Maritime Voyages — Zheng He's Voyages to the Western Oceans: New Horizons over the Vast Ocean — Debuts Online and on Television

On July 26, the national premium culture and tourism-themed mini series Zheng He's Voyages to the Western Oceans: New Horizons over the Vast Ocean, jointly produced by the Media Convergence Center of Taicang City (Taicang Media Group) and Su Ying Pictures (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., premiered simultaneously on platforms including the movie and drama channel of Jiangsu TV, Yangshipin, and Hongguo Mini Series. Rooted in the enduring national theme of "Zheng He's Voyages to the Western Oceans," the series explores a remarkable chapter in the history of Chinese maritime navigation. 

The story follows Zheng Ziyue, a descendant of one of Zheng He's fleet members, as she transforms from a mischievous girl into a dedicated guardian of "Zheng He's Treasure." Together with the genius cryptographer Chen Fengyi, she embarks on a treasure-hunting adventure to decipher a series of codes. Framed by an innovative "48-hour time-limited puzzle-solving" challenge, the series highlights the technological brilliance and civilizational ethos of the treasure fleet over 600 years ago. Resonating deeply with the Belt and Road Initiative, the series presents the historical wisdom of Chinese civilization's "maritime interactions and peaceful exchanges" through a modern and youthful narrative.
