The 2025 Mini Series Global Outreach & Branding Conference, themed "Openness, Connectivity, and Empowerment", is being held at Shanghai Oriental Intelligent Media City from June 26 to 27. The event brings together experts, scholars, and industry leaders from around the world in the mini series field to explore key topics under the National Radio and Television Administration's "Mini Series+" Action Plan. Discussions focus on distribution, investment, business models, copyright governance, legal compliance, and other pivotal issues shaping the sector's global development.
On the afternoon of the 27th, the conference held a sub-forum with the theme of "New Business Models," where Zhu Ziyang, CEO of Infinite Capacity Technology, shared his experiences. Zhu believes that star-led mini series should be created, involving not only the participation of traditional film and television stars, but also fostering the emergence of new stars within the mini series industry itself. Zhu noted that we have entered the era of star-led mini series, which will lead the industry's development, reshape the industrial landscape, and accelerate the evolution of content formats. However, he also emphasized the importance of avoiding industry pain points, such as the "sky-high salaries" commanded by some celebrities.
